SIR का Real Meaning क्या है?

SIR का पूरा मतलब है:

Special Intensive Revision

यह Election Commission of India का एक regular voter list cleaning and correction program है।

यह कोई नया feature या नया identification code नहीं है।
यह voter list को update रखने की scheduled exercise होती है।

इसे decades से किया जाता रहा है — बस इस बार इसे नाम से viral कर दिया गया।

SIR का Purpose क्या होता है? (Deep)

SIR का main purpose:

• voter list को current reality के हिसाब से update करना

• नए eligible voters को जोड़ना

• death / shifting / duplicates / errors को correct करना

Voter list हमेशा dynamic data होता है
और India में population, shifting, age eligibility बहुत तेज adjustment में बदलते हैं।

इसलिए हर साल / election year में revision campaigns चलायी जाती हैं।

SIR उसी revision का एक special intensive version होता है, जिसमें:

Rumour कहाँ से start हुआ?

कुछ YouTube shorts / Reels / forwarded messages में wording use की गई कि:

“SIR नहीं दिया तो नाम cut हो जाएगा”

People thought:

SIR = एक नया required number / field

जबकि सच्चाई:

SIR = voter list revision drive का नाम

क्या voter list से names हटते हैं?

Yes — लेकिन reason SIR नहीं है।
Reason यह है:

• death database से match

• address shifting

• duplicate entries

• गलत proof

तो SIR इसका reason नहीं है —
SIR सिर्फ process का window है जिसमें ये corrections fast और bulk में execute होते हैं।

Indian Voters के लिए सही understanding

• SIR कोई नया ID नहीं है
